![]() While the lineup often features indie gems, there are occasional appearances of AAA titles as well. | © EarlyGameĮvery week, the Epic Games Store offers you at least one free game or DLC that would normally come with a price tag. Epic Games Store: Here are the free games of this week, as well as a sneak peek for the next lineup. We'll show you which games you get can currently get for free on Epic Games Store, which ones will follow and how much time you have to claim them. However, there are exceptions – you just have to know when you have to be on time and where you have to look for them. I don't use launchers -any- but IMO the Epic one should have the option to pay in cash or with gift cards. The Epic Games Store contains lots of great games, but to play them, you usually need to buy them. I rather pay in cash as well, in fact I asked my employer to pay me in cheques I can quickly cash rather than with a bank account and card to avoid the hellish nonsensical nightmare that's having a bank account and trying to get cash through an ATM in my country, you can't take all of your money out because the machines are basically unable to process the insane amount of zeroes our currency has, they're limited to 999.999 and hold 1000 bills, to put it in perspective an RTX 3060Ti costs 66 millions, that's 660,000 100$ bills. Having a bank account involves math but at least where I live lot more headaches due to the bank systems always failing when you have something to do, asking for a stupid 2FA that for some reason won't work with none of the authenticators available that are proven reliable but instead a buggy android pasta code software that will only work with a very specific set of smartphones in order to transfer $1 to someone, and of course fees, fees and more fees. You don't have to understand fully, but at least respecting my opinion/decision would be better than not. I don't really want one since I prefer to pay in cash. Because managing a checking account involves lots of math & can be stressful. I know, I'm just saying it wouldn't be the best option for me. Why? 2 Reasons: 1. Granted, I actually do hate the current circumstances that I still have to put up with, but remember that I can only do so much until something is BEYOND my abilities. But since I'm not working, that means I simply have to wait on certain government services to come through. Do you happen to know if mall gift cards still work as of now or will it depend.? And yes, under normal circumstances, I would setup like a checking account & get a credit/debit card IF I was working but that's not my style since I prefer to pay in cash. That way if the card gets stolen, lost, or skimmed, only the money in the "debit" account is vulnerable. Even better, open multiple free accounts, one for the bulk of your money and one just for the debit card. They usually don't charge a service fee or require a minimum balance like the big-name commercial banks, and you can get a debit card tied to it for free. Long term, you'll want to start up a checking account with a local credit union. Sometimes you have to register the card with the provider so they can associate your name to that card, then as far as the retailer is concerned it works just like any other debit card. Sure it's only a few bucks, but that adds up. The biggest drawback is that you have to pay the activation fee for every new card, and at the time the cards were not refillable. I used to use mall gift cards without issue. If anyone happens to have any questions for me about this or if I forgot & left something out, be sure to ask & I'll provide more details! Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out on this 1! So, with that being said, I'm sure you see my point & understand how frustrating this can be. But this has left wondering- Are there any way(s) or method(s) of earning an Epic Games Store gift card that I could use for the purchase? And surely if trying to earn an Epic Games Store gift card doesn't work out, then surely there are ways of trying to purchase the game that haven't hit me yet. ![]() The 1 exception is if it's something I've used before & they can offer discounts/sales, etc. Now, I have done some research of my own & I'm aware that 3rd-party sites exist that can be better than expected, but I prefer not to go through 3rd-party sites I'm unfamiliar. There is however, 1 factor that's an issue though: due to be me being unemployed & not having a credit/debit card nor a checking account, that basically means I have to resort to other ways of making online purchases. So anyway, here's the sitch: I'm wanting to purchase Sonic Colors: Ultimate from the Epic Games Store to try the PC ported version. I'm pretty sure I haven't made a post about this, but you never know.
